In many regions of the world, girls and women still face significant disadvantages in accessing education. Particularly in the regions of Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, West and Central Asia, and Oceania, access to secondary education is denied to significantly more girls than boys (see. BMZ<\/a>In Afghanistan, women are completely excluded from public life. According to Federal Agency for Civic Education<\/a> Afghanistan, Yemen, the Central African Republic, and Syria are among the countries with the worst living conditions for women, particularly in the areas of safety, education, economic participation, and legal equality.<\/p>\n

All the more important and valuable is the work and great commitment of the teachers and all supporters who are particularly committed to the education of girls, as in our partner project in Burundi<\/a>, or even enable girls to secretly access education, as with the home schooling centers in Kabul<\/a>.<\/p>\n
