The female students of the Burundi AG at the Sch\u00f6nst\u00e4tter Marienschule showed great commitment in the second half of 2025 and carried out many activities to support their partner school in Burundi, the ETG Mutumba<\/a> to support.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ullenbruch, head of the Burndi AG at the school, reports:<\/p>\n

At the school festival for the school's 80th anniversary, we baked and sold a birthday cake made of fair-trade muffins. But many other projects, such as lavender and upcycling, also donated their proceeds to us. Traditionally, there was our Christmas bazaar on parent-teacher conference day with hand-knitted socks and Christmas crafts, and the sale of St. Martin's bread for St. Martin's Day. Throughout the current school year, all classes have supported us with weekly bake sales. A total of 3,000 euros in donations has been collected since the summer holidays. This was transferred to the Vallendar Mission Center and taken from there to Burundi. Together with the donation of 5,000 euros from Teachers Without Borders e.V., we were able to raise 8,000 euros in the last half-year to support the ETG.<\/p>\n

Sister M. \u00c9velyne, the boarding school director of ETG, is very happy and thanks all donors and supporters heartily. Four classrooms still need to be renovated and the dining hall needs to be renewed. The purchase of building materials could begin, and the construction work could be planned for the next vacation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
